IT Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Let us share a quick intro into Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and its benefits. There has been a marked change in the way networks have evolved over the years, starting form analog lines to digital and then the Internet era. Now, however, there is a new trend where IT and telecom seem to have merged. So it is no more IT services running over telecom networks. It is now a combination of both. One of the offshoots of this is Infrastructure as a Service.

Traditionally, the infrastructure or hardware used by businesses was always fixed, like your computer at home, or your laptop or a web server in a data center, etc. You had multiple services like software solutions for emails, web browsing, etc. that you could run on this fixed infrastructure.

Now, the whole idea is changing. You do not have to rely on fixed infrastructure anymore. You may wonder how that is possible. You can’t replace a personal computer or a web server, can you? Absolutely right, you cannot replace them. They have to be there, no matter what. But the IaaS concept says that they don’t need to be collocated in the area where the user is using the services. So you need not have the webserver running in a single location to serve all the users. It could be distributed across the network anywhere.

For example, if you want to collaborate and create a presentation, typically you would create it on your laptop and share it with your colleagues. They would then add their slides and send it back to you. Now, with Infrastructure as a Service, forget the presentation solution. None of you need to have the software installed on your local machines. Just log on to a server on the cloud that has all the features and start collaborating and creating the presentation. You can not only create the presentation but also store it and share it with others. No one needs to own the infrastructure to open and view the slides. As long as you can connect to the virtual cloud infrastructure, IaaS can do everything for you.

Infrastructure as a Service is a great concept in the modern world. There’s no need to worry about having the infrastructure to use and deliver services in the office. There are other companies, like us, that can create the cloud for you and you just need to access the Infrastructure as a Service. All you need to do is look for this service and start using it.

With Infrastructure as a Service, we handle all the behind the scenes tasks that are necessary for your business to function successfully. You don’t own or run any of the equipment. You don’t even house it at your office. We house everything at our facilities and virtualize the infrastructure to make it accessible to you from a different location. We own all of the equipment and are responsible for maintaining and updating it. That means you get the best quality of infrastructure for one monthly fee that can either be fixed and predictable or based on your usage giving you the ability to scale up and down.

IaaS is a solution that will save your company loads of time and money. It will securely store your data and provide you with an instant disaster recovery plan. You can access your data and infrastructure from any location in the world and on any device. All of this and more is possible with our Infrastructure as a Service.
